The master "Islamology"

The University of Strasbourg is currently the sole French university offering a university degreee in Muslim law and Islamology.
This program offers a complete training in the field of Muslim law and Islamology. This includes a historical presentation of Islam, its doctrinal, cultural and religious basis, an exegetical approach of the Quranic text and other sources, as well as a solid education in Muslim law.
This knowledge of Islamic studies is completed by lectures in law, social sciences of religions and comparative history of religions. Languages, namely classical Arabic, is part of the curriculum.
All the classes are in French; a very good knowledge of the French language is requested.
